Next Chapter Food Pantry and Garden 762 SW 5th St. (Adjacent to St Matthew’s Episcopal Church Ontario, OR 97914 541.889.9332 Tuesday 4pm-6pm, Thursday 12pm-3pm
To ensure our clients and volunteers safety, we will be implementing a drive-thru pre-boxed food system. Clients will not be allowed to line up outside in the seated area or stand in lines. Clients will not come inside to receive food. Clients will be asked to stay in cars and volunteers will guide the cars through the drive-up area during our shifts. Clients will be asked to park on the street facing north and will be directed through the line by a volunteer once the shift begins. Clients will be asked to lower window slightly, asked their name and amount of people in the household. Clients will be asked to remain in their car at all times during the distribution of food products. Volunteers will place pre-boxed items in client’s cars.
For our clients who are on foot, the pantry will set up a separate on-site location with marked spacing to adhere to safe distancing guidelines. Boxes will be placed in a safe zone and then clients may take boxes from that area one client at a time.
We will do our best to continue to serve our community to the best of our abilities while continuing to keep our volunteers, clients, and community safe.
All items above are subject to change.

    Food Pantry Information
    Sunshine Pantry –
Effective immediately, the way we distribute food has changed.
When you arrive at the pantry, please wait outside our door on Wilson avenue and call one of two numbers:
    971-329-0545 (Trevor)
    971-506-7829 (Sharon)
We will write down your needs, build a food box for you, and bring it outside to you
You must have Oregon state I.D. and be in our registry
Due to high call volume, do NOT call us until you have arrived at our facility
We have made these changes due to information from the CDC, WHO, and governor Brown. We are taking these necessary precautions to protect our staff and the facility, so we can maintain the highest levels of cleanliness, and a germ and virus free environment to house the food we distribute. We do not want to jeopardize the health of our patrons by large gatherings within our public place. We have taken the necessary steps to disinfect our facility as we always do, but we are practicing more extreme measures to ensure nothing enters our facility that may put anyone at risk. We all must work together in our community to keep each other safe.
