Building Resilient Families has been designed to offer support to families as they navigate parenting children age 0-10. The goal is to develop a foundation that will carry families through challenging times and create opportunities for growth and celebration of learned skills.

POWERFUL TOOLS FOR CAREGIVERS

Classes meet in both Jackson and Josephine Counties. Powerful Tools for Caregivers is a self-care program for family caregivers that meets for two and a half hours once a week, for six weeks. This program focuses on the family caregiver. It will help you take care of yourself while caring for an older relative, friend, someone who lives at home, in a nursing home, or across the country. This program will provide you with tools and strategies to better handle the unique caregiver challenges you face and help you to: 1) Reduce personal stress, 2) Communicate effectively with family members, doctors, and paid help, 3) Increase self-care practices, 4) Reduce guilt, anger, and depression, 5) Experience relaxation techniques, 6) Make tough decisions, and 7) Set goals and problem solve.
