The Goblin event is close enough to taste, and you can already feel that itch to log in “just for a bit” and somehow lose two hours. If you want the payoff without the burnout, set yourself up now: stash Sigils, protect your Mythic Pranksters, and keep your mats tidy. Even little stuff helps, like deciding what you’ll salvage and what you’ll keep, so you’re not doing inventory Tetris mid-farm. And if you’re topping up for rerolls and repairs, having some Diablo 4 gold ready can keep the prep grind from feeling like a second job.

Get Your Essence of Sin Sorted
Before you chase anything flashy, check your Essence of Sin rank. If it’s not at Rank 5, you’re leaving value on the table, full stop. World boss rewards feel thin when that rep is low, and it turns every session into “why am I doing this again?” The quickest push is still Asmodan, but don’t fall for the Torment IV bait unless your group deletes him fast. Most players don’t. Normal difficulty is boring, yeah, but it’s consistent, and consistency is what gets you to Rank 5 without tilting.

    Asmodan Runs: Fast, Safe, Repeat
Asmodan is basically your routine: show up, melt him, move on. The goal isn’t hero moments, it’s clean clears. Dying at the wrong time can mess with rhythm and drops, and it slows you down more than people admit. On Normal you’re stacking reputation in a steady drip, and that drip adds up when you’re chaining kills. If you’ve got a tuned build and friends who actually listen, bump the difficulty. If you’re solo, or the party’s a mess, keep it simple and keep it moving.

Fill the Gaps With Red Elites
When the boss isn’t up, don’t stand around in town. Hit open-world loops or PvP zones and hunt red elites. Mobility matters more than raw damage here—you want to zip between packs, tag fast, and clear before anyone else even arrives. Keep your bags under control, too. Salvage the junk, break down excess keys for materials, and favorite anything you’d rage over losing. You will, at some point, salvage something valuable by accident if you don’t slow down for two seconds.

Hoard Now So You Can Spend Later
This part’s the hardest because it feels like doing nothing, but it’s where the advantage comes from: don’t burn your Mythic Pranksters or Tributes unless you truly have to. Their usefulness jumps when the event hits, and having a pile ready means you’re farming, not scrambling. Handle upgrades ahead of time, clear stash tabs, and line up your crafting plans so you’re not making choices in a rush. If you do need to round out a setup right as the event starts, a quick diablo 4 buy items option can help you stay focused on farming instead of shopping your inventory all night.
