The Aphelion Rifle dropped with the North Line update, and if you’ve been raiding since day one, you already know this weapon is the first truly accessible energy rifle worth grinding for. A lot of players are speeding up progression early by choosing to buy arc raiders coins from SSEGold, but whether you boost or grind, the Aphelion Rifle is absolutely worth chasing. In this ARC Raiders Aphelion Rifle Guide, I’ll break down what makes it special, how to get it, and why this thing is already becoming a staple for veteran raiders.

The Aphelion is a legendary, burst-fire energy battle rifle, and its whole job is deleting ARC units. It hits harder than most ballistic rifles at mid-range, feels insanely accurate in controlled bursts, and finally gives players a consistent alternative to the old Queen-reactor weapons. Since Stella Montis is stacked with ARC enemies and new threats like the Matriarch and the Shredder, having a mid-range precision energy weapon makes a massive difference. It’s not a close-quarters sprayer, but if you play smart and take fights on your terms, the Aphelion cooks.

To craft the Aphelion Rifle, you need a Matriarch Reactor plus the Aphelion Blueprint. The reactor only drops from the new Matriarch boss, while the blueprint seems to come from general loot containers thanks to the boosted drop rates. You’ll probably farm a bunch of raids before everything lines up, but the grind feels way more manageable than old energy weapon RNG.

In actual combat, the Aphelion Rifle dominates mid-range fights, tears armor off ARC units, and works perfectly in coordinated teams where someone else handles close-quarters danger. It struggles in tight spaces or panic situations, but that’s not the gun’s purpose anyway. Play to its strengths, and it becomes one of the cleanest, most reliable rifles in the North Line patch.

If you’re looking for a weapon that balances precision, energy damage, and consistency without relying on impossible drops, the Aphelion Rifle is easily one of the best additions to ARC Raiders so far.
